I read and loved the first book of the Hunger Games trilogy. Though I didn't follow the production of the movie too religiously, the reviews (including yours) have convinced me to see it on the big screen and not wait for the Blu-Ray. Also, this really is a well-written review. For a moment, I almost believed it was written by a professional and not my crazy friend.

@reviewer. I think you have no taste for good movies & you are a tasteless person, enjoying boring movies like american beauty. I personaly think that tere bin Laden is a 4/4 movie. As its plot & story is unique. Great acting by immature cast. Nice songs & funny situations. Overall a best bollywood movie i have seen so far.

I downloaded this movie by chance and JUST finished watching it, and I have to say it is absolutely BRILLIANT. It's probably the best Indian film I've seen in a very, very long time. I admit it kind of reminded me of This Boy's Life (starring Rob De Niro and Leo Di Caprio); but, personally, this film was far more superior.

I kinda like the US version more than the Int'l one mainly 'cause the Int'l one looks to be a bit more "cartoonish".

The premise of the movie seemed cool to me from the very first trailer, but unfortunately I missed it in the local cinema hall. Going by your review and positive word of mouth about the movie, I will have surely catch the blu-ray of this one.

"Tangled" has a lot to live up to but I think it has done its job at doing so. I loved the movie and to believe that at first I wasn't going to see it for a while but my co-worker at DISH really convinced me to see it. So I went ahead and ordered it on PPV in HD for my daughter and me. Who knew I would love the movie so much. I was going to buy the movie next time I get paid! DISNEY did a great job bringing back the music to the movies.

Go into the dream world to have sex? Interesting. One thing - they are on a mission on the dream - and they control their thoughts. Even if they don't, it will end up like rain in the dream world. If they get sexual thought, maybe a lady with a big bosom will cross his path. That does not mean he will start copulating.

Well reasoned. I have seen my poeple raving about this on forums as well and you hit the bulls eye of why it wasn't necessary for Cobb to have carnal thoughts towards Mal.

BTW That sleep lab that the chemist kept in the basement was used people to dream. Maybe that was used for sexual dreams *shrugs*

Indeed. 'Up' is one of the most beautiful movies I have seen, and not just for the animation. Its about LIVING life. The initial sequence of Carl and Ellie's life and later when Carl realizes that he can do more than just fulfil his wife's dream of Paradise Falls. So, much to see, read, listen and do in life and this movie touches upon this message in a really heartwarming way.

Just reading the post. I enjoyed the movie and suspect because it was contemporary to us in Delhi. Yes, there are flaws but overall a decent movie. Rani is quite irritating but I don't think Vidya was as bland as you perceive her. I of course, adored the policeman and think he was the best of the lot.

Nope, don't know why its not showing in Cleveland? Strange that it isn't with all the museums we have there. Maybe they don't think the people of the area are intelligent enough to appreciate it?

Hi.

TREE OF LIFE indeed has a great trailer, and in the days after posting this, I was wondering if I should have placed it higher. But then, all rankings were really fluid on this. At one stage, I was keeping the 127 HOURS trailer as high as 6th.

And yes, I am what some would call an HP-freak. And I have had to do a lot of explaining for keeping that trailer so high, but I stand by it. Looking at just as a trailer, it is phenomenally successful in what it wants to do. It's a blockbuster full of swaggering confidence and I love it for that.

Finally, the reason I didn't do desi trailers was because I am not that well-versed in them. I can make a list of Top 10 Trailers like this because I see scores of them. I don't see scores of desi trailers.

aha, i also looove trailer. Tree of life would top of my chart any day. what gorgeous visuals. Also, Harry potter so high ? potter-maniac ? plus, why no desi trailers ? the trailer of aranya kandam (tamil) and Gandu ( bengali) are on par with the best of the trailers last year. do check out.
